I have been put on notice of redundancy. I have sufficient contributions for jobseekers benefit. I would like to go on a holiday for at least 2 weeks after a hard long time in last year without a holiday. Is there a problem going on holiday? Should I sign on immediately and then go for a holiday, or should I go on holiday and then sign on? Any help much appreciated as usual
Tom

Holiday

I know you are allowed 2weeks holidays you just have to tell them but I think I would just sign on from my experience it will take 6 to 8 weeks to be processed then back dated

If you haven't had a holiday in the past year you should be entitled to the two (or more) weeks paid annual leave from your current employer.

Your JSB will not be payable until after you have taken your paid leave.
