[Just watching Roger in Oz Open]
No question the best in mens tennis (For Duke: In the modern era ) and definitely a contender for greatest ever sports person. Getting to 20 Grand Slams is a first, but all the more impressive is the fact that Nadal and Djokovic have 16 & 12 titles each.
Out of interest, are you aware that an Irish woman won 5 US Open tenis titles?
Speaking of the lassies, 'twould be very remiss of me not to mention that I was very impressed by the winner of the Oz Ladies also!
Would Roger be able to to play tennis on a carpet?
Updated my post, but yeah, I think Roger could play tennis without a racket!
If we count our four legged friends, I have argued before on AAM that Arkle was the best sports person ever. From a narrow human perspective Roger is up there, I agree.
Thinking of changing the title.......Is this Dane the greatest has a certain ring about it.
Maybe you is right.
I've been thinking a bit about her. She really has such a beautiful................................backhand.
If that were the case, he would be a horse of a man
I have to now concede that the Tiger is probably ahead of Arkle in terms of achievement at sport.
Great achievement by Tiger Woods. Is Golf a proper sport though? It's a game and it's skillful but it's just hitting a ball while you go for a walk.
Interestingly no reference to skill in this definition. Professional golf certainly is competitive but hardly long on physical exertion I agree. Still greatest comeback since Napoleon, nearly on a par with Lazarus
Did Tiger also attribute his resurrection to Jesus? He always struck me as too smart for all that God bothering nonsense.
