if one lives in an estate with a high fence about 6 feet around the back garden can the neighbour put a trampoline that is a few feet above the fence in the garden next door.

This means it is visible from your garden and from the living room window

Of course. You don't own the view over another person's property.

Why on earth would you be bothered by a trampoline in the next-door neighbour's garden?

because i think a pile of metal looks ugly and out of place in the context of the grass and fence and trees. Especially so when seen from living room window.

I will get some taller trees to plant at my side of fence. Is there any issue of privacy if kids playing on it are able to overlook in to living room window?

Thanks

'Fraid not. Sounds to me like trees/hedge are your only answer.

To be honest, your average kids would probably get bored looking in your living room window quicker than you might imagine.
