Is the State Pension based on a 7 day payment?

How is the State pension of €238.30 calculated? Is it based on a payment covering 7 days or 5 days?
The reason I ask is that I have just started receiving it and have been paid a portion of the €238.30 for part of a weeks entitlement. Thanks
 
If this is your first week
to receive your pension your pension will be paid to you from your 66th birthday. This may not be the same day as the weekly date for payment.

Example:- Birthday on Thursday, weekly pay day for pension Tuesday. Your first payment will cover Thursday to Tuesday (5 days). Next week and thereafter full weeks will be paid on Tuesdays assuming you are entitled to the full rate.
