Is the frost stat kaput

Hi
I have a Frost stat in outside boiler house for OFCH system

Noticed this evening this browning on top of the frost stat as per attached pics

The boiler house can be bit damp and prone to condensation so not sure if that browning on the frost stat is due to that

Is the frost stat kaput - has something blown on it or burned on it hence the browning and what could have happened. Its only installed a few years

The heating system is working (using it for heating the water)

Any thoughts?

Wipe it down with a warm damp cloth and a bit of sudz. Looks like it's just a bit stained and dirty to me.

Just don't do that with the mains still connected.

It looks like the case isn't properly closed, so the internals need to be checked and wiring rearranged if required to ensure it can be closed properly to keep insects and other debris out. They're [broken link removed] enough to replace, so if the internals are corroded, probably best be on the safe side.
