Is rental income considered in earnings calculation for max pension contribution?

Hi

Is rental income considered in earnings calculation for max pension contribution?

I am looking to maximize my pension contributions to help catch up on the years I missed out on. In addition to my salary, I a reluctant landlord. So wondering if the rental income can be included.

Simple answer... NO.
Rental income is deemed to be “unearned income” and so not pensionable.

unearned income! I had to call out today to fix a broken shower... last month it was something else... it's hard work & time consuming... rant over!
