Key Post Is Degiro a clear best buy for an online stockbroker?

I'm not aware of any fee for holding positions. €10 per position to transfer portfolio into Degiro.

There is an exchange connectivity fee of €2.50 per year for each exchange, excluding your home exchange (ISEQ), on which you have traded/held stock in the year. Number of trades or stocks held is irrelevant for this fee.

I notice that they have stopped with different kinds of account (e.g. custody).

Does that mean that the "basic" account is safe for long term holding? They don't lend out client assets in the background? Any long term assets are fully held in a separate asset holding-only company.

I have a Euroclear account in my own name. I asked the broker to set this up, years ago. It gives me peace of mind, and I can vote and attends AGMs.

And which online brokers allow you use your own Euroclear account, I didn’t think that was an option with the likes of DeGIRO.
