If an Irish Income Tax Payers association existed, then wouldn't it have to limit its remit to just Income Tax, and by definition not offer an opinion on CGT, CAT, Inheritance Tax, Service charges, TV licence, ...?
If it did get involved in any of these, it would also have to take a political side on many issues. But which side? Imagine getting involved in a politically charged question like Water Charges.
