Irish commuter contracting in London - Pros/Cons

As a stop-gap, is a Mon-Fri commute to London to work feasible until something better pops up here in Dublin ?

I've been quoted a daily rate of GBP325 for a finance-related role.

(That rate seems on the low side, and the working-through-personal-company-drawing-dividends-wheeze, has been negated through recent UK legislation)

(Also very curious around average accommodation & flight-costs etc)

Sounds too low a rate to be worth it. I haven't done the calcs, but looked at it before with a much higher daily rate and i ruled it out. You'll end up staying in a hostel, or a 2 hour commute.

What's your work background / experience? Surely you can get something in Dublin.

GBP325 is a low daily rate. You could earn more than that on daily rates in Dublin especially in finance. I don't think the financial compensation would be enough to make the effort worthwhile. Unless of course it is a choice between that and unemployment. Would they let you work remotely for 1-2 days a week? What area of finance is it?
