If someone in Ireland provides an invoice for an online delivered service to someone in the UK, that includes just their full name, and email address, and no other information like a tax number or physical address, is this acceptable practice?

If someone were just providing a name and email address, and no other information, would that not hinder Revenue here and in the UK communicating making sure that here in Ireland everything is declared and above board?

You are talking about VAT invoices I assume? I'm not clear whether you'd then be charging Irish VAT on sales to UK customers or no VAT? Regardless, it's probably best for you to refer to the Revenue publication regarding this:- [broken link removed] The VAT will also depend on whether it is B2B or B2C.

It's worth noting that different rules apply for UK customers in NI.
