Investment with highest guaranteed return?

Where would be the best place to invest €40K for about 3 years? What would give me the highest guaranteed return?
Any advice appreciated.

Hi Ballman,

Are you willing to trust Irish owned Banks with you investment for 3 years? If you are you a braver man than me!!

3 years is along time with the mess we are in, alot can happen in 3 months never mind 3 years.

If it was my money id be investing it in Nationwide uk for 1 year @ 3.65% & look at it again then to see what the situation is with this little country!!

Would you not recommend an Irish bank? Aren't they guaranteed by the government?? I was looking at BOI's 2 year at 4.5%?

Is that not trustworty enough do you think?

2 years is a long time to lock money in an Irish bank with the huge default risk that currently exists.

4.5% is a really great return but far from the safest option.
