I'm in the process of selling a property and am planning on re-investing some of the profits.
I've never invested before and know very little about it. Can anyone guide me towards a wise investment option?
I'm hoping to invest around €10,000 and would like to leave it some where long term.

Welcome to AAM, Aundoo. You could do worse than start with a read of , and some of the other Key posts at the top of this forum (including Questions to ask when you are investing and Investment Traps to avoid).
Much will depend on your circumstances — debts, other assets, attitude to risk, pension provision, etc. (this is all discussed in the Guide). A relatively simple and inexpensive way to get into stock market investment, if you're so inclined, might be simply to buy units in an ETF (use the search function to find of them here).
