Investing in Car Parking Spaces

I have seen an opportunity to buy a number of car parking spaces in Limerick city centre at 10k each. Has anyone ever bought parking spaces as an investment? Is there a good demand for them and do they think they would have a good return on investment? Also do you know if the banks will give mortgages for this investment?

Hi. If you search for "car park space" you will find quite a bit of discussion on this topic.

Be aware that stamp duty may be payable. Also factor in cost of fobs etc.

I can't find the info, but I'm pretty sure that banks will not advance a mortgage for car parking spaces on their own.
 
Fobs are the dealies that you use to gain access to car parks (generally plastic yokes), and can be anything from €40-€100 each.
