Investec are no longer providing retail deposits for new customers.
I noticed last week that the deposit information was gone from their website. I phoned Investec today and they confirmed that they have exited the retail deposit market for new customers.
Investec still seem to be providing corporate deposits and existing retail customer deposits.
Investec are regulated by the UK regulator and passport their activities into Ireland. A process that may be effected by Brexit.
Back in the day, Invested offered the highest 6 month and 1 year retail deposit rates.
Investec have not been competitive for some time now.
At the same time, it is another blow for competition.
