Invest small lump sum at least until child turns 18

I'm looking to invest about 2K for each of my children. I would guess that some fund is likeliest highest return. I looked at a few sites like Irish Life and Aviva but they seem to target investments of 10K or more. And not specific to children.

Anyone got advice? The length of investment is between 2 and 10 years at a minimum.

How much are you investigating in total? (I.e. How many children).
You could look at putting it all in a single investment, and have either a deed of assignment or a bare trust in place transferring the benefit to your children. The downside is you cannot reverse it, it's effectively in children's names immediately, although they can't access it until they turn 18.
It's something you should speak to a finance advisor about.

Thanks RedOnion. Apologies for delay, I had a problem with my account.

To answer your question, its for 5 children. I'm happy to not have access to the money and want them only to have access when they each turn 18. I can talk to a financial advisor and see what they suggest.
