I was looking around for a term loan and found a great offer from MBNA (with whom I have no connection).
They offer a credit card with 0% interest for ten months on balance transfers from other credit cards... OR if you don't have a CC balance to transfer, you can transfer any amt. up to your allocated credit limit to a bank account interest free for ten months.
I was given a credit limit of 7,000 euro and will use that to pay off two loans that I have. In the meantime save the monthly loan repayments in a savings account for ten months and will then use that to pay back the 7k... thus saving me approx. 600 in interest payments.
The limit allocated to me was probably higher than normal - as I have a good credit history and have been an MBNA customer a few times previously. However, it's worth trying for anyone who needs cheap money for a short period.... assuming you can pay it back on time.
