Insuring a commercial vehicle

Hi there

I have a private insurance policy at the moment but am looking to buy a Nissan Navara - for domestic use. Is it possible to get insured on a commercial vehicle even if it's for domestic use - I am having difficulty getting a quote as the insurance companies are telling me that I need to be a tradesman etc. Failing this is it possible to insure a commercial vehicle privately? - whats the best way around this .

If you just need it for domestic use, what's wrong with the car?

Don't drive cars since I had a bad accident, I go off-roading in spare time but most importantly I need a large vehicle with large space in back for dogs and also passenger seats in the back

I have a commerial pajero, but I use it for private use.
I am insured with quinn direct.
