Sadly i met an accident couple years back. Car was written off n all. Got details of car which hit me car from behind and passed on to PIAB.
Have a medical bill of several grand to be claimed. And had no time to chase insurance companies(coz of work and other commitments), therefore hired a Solicitor. Claim was sent to PIAB. Now after 2 and half years roughly,insurance company of person who hit my car, sent a letter with xxxxx amount for pain and suffering and are happy to payback medical charges, BUT not the legal charges (i.e. solicitor fees).
Now my question is :
- when i went to solicitor i was told, we be able to claim back legal fees?
- what is solicitor turns around n say , since they not paying..we will deduct from settlement? And secondly how much percent u think they be after?
- amount mention, sounds not appropriate to what i had to go through? and going through? what are my options?
Said that am not greedy.. and neither i want to delay this process further as every medical expense is coming outa me pocket.
