Insurance for self employed

Hi

I'm self employed and I'm wondering if anybody can recommend an insurer / broker that offers a policy that will cover accidents, loss of income thru illness in other words salary replacement for sickness & accicdent. To date I have found you can only get one orthe other with a 4-6 week period before claims will be be dealt with. Any help would be appreciated

2 things here.

As a short term fix, a personal accident type policy will pay out for up to 1 year. It's a general insurance product afaik.

Longer term Permanent Health Insurance (PHI) can potentially pay a proportion of your income (up to 75%) right up to retirement. Premiums are tax deductable too.
