Are you insulating the joist or rafters? There are so many products out there at various cost levels. I considered the foil and bubble layered material for the rafters but plumped in the end for good old fibreglass in between the joist and then another layer overlapped on top. Attic Insulation is cheaper now than it has been for years. About €2.50 mtr sq or less for 150mm.
