Inheriting house on disability allowance

Hi
My sibling is on disability allowance and could inherit the old home from my parents. He is currently living in the house and has bills assigned to himself coming into the house. I know if he's living there for a certain amount of years and proves he's living there inheritance tax does not need to be paid(I think). Would he lose the allowance if he inherited the house?

Thanks

From 14 October 2015 the total parent/child inheritance threshold is 280k, under which no inheritance tax is payable.

If he inherits the house and it is his only property, it doesn't affect his disability allowance, as the home you live in is not assessed in the means test.
