I Have just purchased a new lcd tv for my room.My old portable tv i have put in another room.As its an old house there is connectoin for the the out door aerial for the portable. I have purchased an indoor aerial Called ONE FOR ALL (SV9031)
But reception is poor eg (there are lines going across the screen for RTE1 and RTE2).No reception for TV3 and TG4. I have seen in the Argos catalogue aerials that are amplified .They are designed to strengthen the signal. As anybody got any experince of these aerials or am i wasteing my money on them.THANKS

So you have an roof aerial but the connector is in another room ?
Get a digisender and connect it to the TV with the roof aerial connection so it will then send that signal to the TV in the other room.

Indoor aerials are useless unless you have very good reception anyway. An aerial amp will amplify the noise (static) as well as the picture and sound so you may get no major benefit out of it.

You could also look to pay someone to run a co-ax cable from the roof aerial to the 2nd room. Probably wouldn't cost 'that' much and you're pretty much guaranteed a good result.
