Independent Adviser?

Hi all,

My main query is - what is the best way to find a 'good' independent adviser?? (Is there a website or anything)
Someone who will think about me all the time rather than selling their quota of X

But a follow-on query on this is - Is there really any independent adviser out in the market? Won't they all be motivated by the highest commission rather than what is best for me??

People need to get paid and want to get paid as much as possible. If you pay an independent advisor for their time irrelevant of what you purchase or whether you purchase anything and they refund any commissions then there is no benefit for them to sell or reccomend high commission products. If you don't pay for their time, they still need to make money out of somewhere and that somewhere is going to be commissions.
