Inconsistent thread navigation behaviour

Sometimes when clicking on a thread selected from the "New Posts" list, my browser, Safari Version 18.3 (20620.2.4.11.5), takes me to the last post in a multi-post, multi-page, active thread; other times it takes me to the first post in a multi-post, multi-page, active thread.

I can't say whether my flagging the thread as "Watched" or not effects this.

Its not a big deal, just puzzling. Has anyone else noticed this or should I review my meds with the doc? Is there a default behaviour for Xenforo?

I think it brings you to the last post you have not seen.

So if you have not clicked on the thread before, it will bring you to the first post.

Yes, since last week. I was logged out, unbeknownst to me. When I logged in again the issue resolved
