I've never heard of that type of pension.Oh GAWD !!!
Unless you want people to just guess a potentially wrong answer you need to provide more details. If you don't have them you need to talk to your pension administrator.Oh GAWD !!!
"Private pension" doesn't really clarify. That could be a PRSA or RAC (Retirement Annuity Contract) or maybe a QOPP (I'm not sure about that) . As I said, the policy documentation should clarify what class of pension is it and that should determine what option you need to choose on the tax return form.which is a private pension Additional Voluntary Contribution. So is it a RAC/PRSA/QOPP?
I have a (paid up) RAC and was never self employed.I'm assuming your not self employed and this is not a RAC
Im assuming your RAC was due to a job being non pensionable in that case ?have a (paid up) RAC and was never self employed.
I also have a PRSA (the bulk of my pension savings/investments) and a Buy Out Bond
I can't remember its provenance to be honest. I guess that I probably did set it up when I was in a job that didn't offer any pension options years ago. And it's been transferred between providers a few times since too. It's only a small portion of my overall pension investments/cover. But my point was that I was never self employed as I thought that your post might be implying that RACs were specific to self employed people? Maybe I misinterpreted your post?Im assuming your RAC was due to a job being non pensionable in that case ?
It is a private top up plan in addition to my public service pension.
If you have made a personal payment ( seperate to payroll to a private pension ) in Ireland then choose prsa on the form 11
