Hi there, A married couple pay 40 percent over 45,000. How does the standard rate 22,800 work then.

I earn paye 12,000,
rental income 12,000
my husband rental income 12,000
my Pension arf 15,000
Total 51,000. What tax will we pay for this year 2022.

Thanks so much.

Any decent income tax calculator should clarify.
E.g.
I was just trying that out there taxcalc.ie , Clubman and its absolutely brilliant for projecting future earnings.
However I am just wandering is it completely up to date with PRSI deductions for people 65/66. According to it , a 70 year + person pays the same PRSI as a person under that age. Is this correct. Has legislation changed. Thanks again .
