I opened up two of these accounts roughly 5 months ago. As it's looking like INBS is going to be wound down is it time to get out?

I am just wondering the same thing. I have an account with them that is not due to mature for about ten months and am just wondering should I close it and forego the interest or is it safe to leave it there if someone like Permanent TSB takes over INBS?

I also have INBS accounts and am unconcerned, Govt guarantee is in place and I as a depositor am for now at least relying on the State for my life savings to stay intact...

Your deposit is in INBS is Irish state guaranteed.

The future of INBS is uncertain and INBS has serious problems.

It does appear that their deposit book will be sold to IL&P or Cardinal Capital.

You need to make a decision:
1) Is the Irish state guarantee enough for you? or
2) Is there too much uncertainty over the future of INBS for you ?

1) If yes, then keep your money in INBS and earn a good return.
2) If yes, then move your cash from INBS and get a good return for your money elsewhere.
