Importing a foreign car

I HAVE RETURNED TO IRELAND AFTER HAVING BEEN LIVING IN GERMANY CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF MY GERMAN CAR WHICH I HAVE OWNED FOR 7 MONTHS IS LIABLE FOR VRT AND ALSO AFTER RE REGISTERING THE VEHICLE IN IRELAND HOW LONG MUST I WAIT BEFORE I CAN SELL THE CAR TO BE EXEMPT FROM PAYING VRT ?
