I have been on illness benefit for quite a while with repeated sciatica and stiffness despite surgery. For me the stifness is practically constant and I have to be very careful. Was called for a review before Christmas and was told they were cutting me off so I appealed and got my hearing last week. On the day in question I did not have sciatica, only stiffness and the doctor didn't really show a lot of interest in what I had to say. Today I am crippled with sciatica and will spend the next few days in bed to get rid of it. Unfortunately they will prob base my result on last weeks exam whereas if I went to them when I get these attacks it would be pretty obvious that I am in a lot of trouble still. I will appeal the decision if I am not successful. Just wondering what other peoples experiences of illness reviews are at the moment ?
