ikea wardrobe interior accessories

hi,
looking ikeas range of wardrobe interior accessories, shelves, baskets, shoe racks, the like, but not sure if they'll fit my sliding door wardrobe(not from ikea)
ikea website says they come in 50cm, 75cm, 100cm
My question is- is this the external measurement or the internal measurement of the wardrobe (iykwim) i.e. when i measure the existing shelves in my wardrobe i get 47cm and 97cm
is there anyone out there who has an ikea wardrobe who could measure the internal width for me,

Look at the sizes of the Ikea cabinets these fittings are designed to fit. Chances are the measurements of these will also be 50, 75 and 100cm, and if so, you will know these are external measurements.

Ikea are designed to fit exactly into their own wardrobe - there are pre-drilled holes.

I would reckon the effort to get their stuff to fit into your wardrobe would take alot of effort and probably never be quite right.
 
Usually the measurements would be external measurements, so they should fit in the OPs.

It might be tricky enough to fit the stuff, but it should be possible, if you have a little skill, and some basic tools.
 
I have IKEA wardrobes with 75cm fittings (absolutely brill by the way) and the internal measurement is about 71cm
 
thanks Milly, thats great prob each side of wardrobe is 20mm, I'd imagine thatwould be the same on the other sizes too. Great to hear good feedback about them. must get planning a layout!
Does anyone know when the new catalogue is due?
 
New brochure normally comes out end of July (in other countries anyway!). Always like gold-dust initially though hopefully it'll be online.

There is a website called ikeafans that has a discussion forum where you can ask about ikea products it also has hints from people and photos of modifications to ikea products.
