Quick question.

If an Irish Citizen who emigrated and is therefore no longer an Irish resident inherits a house from their Irish parent who was resident in Ireland at date of death, are they subject to any Irish inhertiance Tax or only the tax relating to their new country of residence?

Thanks

Property in Ireland is liable to inheritance tax no matter where the deceased or successor lives.

Tax may also be due in the country of residence of the successor depending on the tax rules of that country.

You should get professional advice in this regard.
