ICB and credit unions

I am applying for a CU loan soon and I'm wondering what are the implications of signing the piece relating to the Irish Credit Bureau (ICB)? What precisely can they check when I agree to this and what could other Banks find out from it? Does it check for the presence of other loans or merely if there is any bad credit in my History. I have asked but I dinn;t find the answer helpful at my CU.

thanks!

thanks Pudds, it is not awfully clear from that though. For example if a bank or CU requests my ICB report what would they see. Just the Score? Or would they know of the presence of the other loans etc?

icb

They will see all outstanding debt you have with any lender who is registered with ICB, not all credit card companies or credit unions are on the system.
