I am a Irish Seafarer and I am exempt from paying tax in Ireland because I qualify as "non-resident"because I am outside of Ireland a certain number of days a year.
This has all be verified through an accountant.

I am now looking to invest in ETF's but I am wondering am I also exempt from paying the tax on theses? My accountant seems to think I am exempt once none of the companies are Irish based but he is unsure.

Also could you recommend the best ETF's to invest?

I appreciate any information in advance.

Ahoy there,

Top 25 ETFs. This list does not change a whole lot year on year, for the top 10 at least.

I don't know the answer to your exemption question.

If you are exempt, would you have to sell before retirement to ensure you dont become taxable then?
