Is the recipient charged for receiving one of your organs? Does someone, doctor, hospital etc. make money out of this?
While I like the idea of helping others, I feel that my next of kin should share in any bounty received.

At the very least I feel the recipient should pay my funeral costs

Trafficking in human organs remains a crime.
Obvlously, if you donate an organ and it is transplanted, there will be some financial benefit to some people — e.g the transplant patient will be admitted to hospital and be cared for by nursing staff, who are paid to do that; the medics who perform the transplant operation are paid to do that; etc. Does this bother you?
Well, they already come in two pieces but I guess they could be cut further if needed.
For some reason I thought that Pro Bono might apply for transplants. The donor is giving his bits and pieces for free, maybe the next of kin should get paid something.
Cannot imagine anything more gruesome.
To me its altruistic, pure and simple, my last throw of the decency dice.
I personally wouldn't want it reduced to a transaction where relatives try and haggle for the best price for my once vital organs
or ask for timelines of when the payment will hit their account
