how to save ALL messages on mobile ?

Hi, I have a Nokia 5310 and it doesnt automatically save my sent messages.
I have found a way of saving each one as I send it.Which is a bit of a pain.
However on previous phones this was done without any action on my part.
Would anyone on AAM know how or what settings I need to have all my sent messages saved?
