How to like posts ?

I am fairly new to this forum and already I have learned so much. I haven't been able to work out how to like a good post.

On the bottom right hand corner of your post above there is a 'Like' option. If you hover over it with the cursor you have a choice of 6.

The Like option doesn't appear on accounts of a beginner. It is not shown on my account.

Im also relatively new here. I don't see the 'like' option, just 'quote' & 'reply'.
It seems we newbies need to amass a certain number of posts before being able to pm/dm people - is it the same re: the 'like' function?
Anyone know how many posts?

It must be 10 posts, not 50, as that's what I have now & the 'like' button has just appreared
