Am in process of cashing in a number of saving schemes which seem to be going nowhere. Between them they are worth around €30,000 having put monthly savings into the likes of Standard Life and Scottish Provident in some 'with profits' schemes over the past 12 years. But I will be coming out with a couple of grand less than I invested. Am I right to cash them in and, secondly, what is the best means of investing the 30 grand? Any help appreciated
