We moved from uk to ireland in 2006. we have rented out our uk house since then. we bought a house in ireland in 2006 (right at the peak!) we want to sell the uk house to buy a bigger house in ireland. Had we lived in uk it would be cgt exempt as primary residence, but it seems we will be liable to 25% cgt under irish tax.... is there a simple way we can avoid irish cgt without moving back to uk?

This is basically a carbon copy of a thread yesterday (hardly a relative of yours?!) - http://www.askaboutmoney.com/showthread.php?t=159991
