Quick question,
The Irish deposit protection scheme covers 90% of an individuals savings up to a maximum balance of €22,222 per bank. I have savings in both Ulster Bank & First Active. If Ulster Bank which is the parent company of First Active ran into difficulty, would they be classed as separate banks? ie would 90% of my savings be covered in both banks up to a maximum balance of €22,222?
