I earn 30k a year gross and get paid every 2 weeks how much would you expect my net income to be every 2 weeks?.I suspect I am being under paid

Based on 30k, every forthnight you would €1,153.84 Gross(i.e before tax), do you receive a payslip?
 
I have a spreadsheet calculator thing which was sent around after the last budget. According to that, the monthly breakdown should be:

Gross Pay €2500
PAYE €195
PRSI €178
Income Levy €50
Net Pay €2,077
 
By law, you're supposed to receive a payslip which shows all your deductions in clear and unambiguous terms.
 
It;s difficult to give an exact answer without knowing your full circumstances, eg are you paying BIK for example, but you should be looking at around €970 a fortnight after the current budget changes kicked in this month

If you think you are being underpaid you should check that your tax free allowances are correct, that is your responsibility, not your employers
 
The answer depends on your personal circumstances. If you are single and a private sector worker with 'totally standard' tax credits and cut-off point my spreadsheet (see taxcalc.eu/monthlyss) calculates the following up to end of April (all values per fortnight):

Gross 1153.85
PAYE 90.00
PRSI and Health Levy 59.06
Income levy 11.54
Net 993.25

From May 1, the new budget rules kick in and the figures are as follows:

Gross 1153.85
PAYE 90.00
PRSI and Health Levy 82.13
Income levy 23.08
Net 958.63
