How much am I taxed if I use my wife's tax credits?

Hi,

I currently have a salary of 47,400. At the moment myself and my wife are separately assessed for tax. My wife will soon be leaving work so it makes sense that we change to be jointly assessed.

If she leaves and I get all her credits, do you know how much extra we would end up with per month?

I'm not sure if this is enough detail or if there is an online calculator somewhere?

Ok, I've tried to work this out myself through looking at the revenue's website. Just also to add my wife will be claiming jobseekers benefit as she will be looking for a new job.

Firstly it looks like I need to have all of our married tax credits transferred to myself and I can still have a PAYE credit for her also as she still has income which is taxable under PAYE (her JB)

Tax credits: Personal tax credit 3660 (married) + PAYE = 3660. Total =7320. reduced by (188 -13) x 52 = 9100 @ 20% = 1820.
Total Credits 7320-1820 = 5500 per year

Is this right? Do I get her PAYE credits when she is claiming Jobseekers Benefit?
