I'm not sure but for grouting the shower area I'd go for a fresh bag, it is probably the most important area of tiling in the house.
If the grout has been missing for a while then make sure the adhesive behind the tiles hasn't got damp at the tiles will become loose, try sliding one or two, if they move then you're in a bit more bother.

Hi SLF. If the bag is soft then the grout is absolutely fine. If however you decide you want to put down grout from a fresh bag, make sure you buy the exact same bag you have at the minute as there are many different shades of grouts.
