How do you calculate final salary for pension purposes

At retirment the figure calculated on the average of the previous 3 years

Is this calculated on the previous 3 P60 figures or if 1st April is reviev time and plan to retire at end of April can this salary figure figure be used and the previous 2 P60 figures to calculate final salary

In your booklet it should also define a pensionable salary, this can vary from scheme to scheme.
