How do I go about setting up an online shop?

I want to set up an online shop. Not sure how to go about it. I was looking at shopify and other similar ones but the transaction fees seem high. Is there any free ones that cost nothing?

Get a hosting plan online and look for something like Zencart, Magento or Prestashop - all free online ecommerce solutions. But be warned, you will require technical know-how to get up and running!

I find weebly very good www.weebly.com. V easy to set up a site and integrate paypal or google shopping cart.

Ive installed and configured Vitruemart for a customer which is a free 'open source' package.
It works fine.
