Do you mean your own posts????

You can delete your own posts by clicking on the edit button, once you are signed in, just delete in the normal way and replace with words such as "posted in error".

So are you saying I can't. I just want to guard my privacy and remove quotes on my children's schools etc ?

older posts can not be edited by poster, only recent ones. Ask a mod to change/delete post.

Delete posts? I put two posts in yesterday .......... one under Homes and Gardens .......... the other under Recommendations. Just drawing attention to the fact that a poster was making ambiguous posts .......... seemingly asking for a recommendation for some worker and in another post seemingly recommending himself. At least both phone nos were the same. Who wipes these posts and why? And why not let the poster know why the posts are no more.

Hi Simeon

Posts are removed by a moderator.

Once the offending posts were deleted (on foot of your excellent investigative skills) your own post was redundant and so would have been removed by one of the mods for this reason.

It is best to use the Report Post option (the red triangle beside the post number) when you spot these transgressions of the posting guidelines.
