We have inherited part of a house that we are interested in buying the other beneficiary out of. However the cottage next door has their septic tank on the driveway and a right if access. This obviously has a direct effect of value but would it actually make the house insellable? The old heating system all needs to be changed as pipes are leaking (40+ yrs) and insulation needs to be upgraded. We currently live & maintain the property at our own cost- but can we negotiate this in the sale price?
