I purchased a house which is on a relatively busy road in the past few months. Finding it very hard to sleep at night as the road noise is quite loud. Thats even with double grazing and a good curtain.
I ve been told its a matter of getting used off and to use ear plugs!!
I ve grown up in the country and its easy to miss the peaceful and tranquil surroundings!
I think a main road puts people off but not a side road, even if its busy. In most cities now, all roads are fairly active during the day. Best bet is to look for a nice back garden.
