Hotels in Milan

Can anyone recommend a good cheap hotel in Milan?
I have a friend going there for New Years.

Go to http://www.venere.com (Venere.com)- I have used them in the past for accommodation in Milan. One very reasonable hotel I have used several times in the past is the Hotel Trieste. Walking distance from the Central Station and 10 mins via underground to the Duomo

Try tripadvisor.com. You'll get traveller reviews of your hotel and it will do a price check across several hotel booking sites, including venere.com.
