Horn not working for Fiesta

Hi, the horn in my '99 Fiesta has suddenly stopped working. Can anybody suggest any easy fixes, bearing in mind i know little about cars, before i haul her off to the garage.

Check the fuse before heading off to the garage, the handbook will tell you exactly which one and where it is. If that doesn't fix it then take it off to your friendly local mechanic, try to avoid the main dealers. I got a horn replaced in a VW Polo last year for €20.

Should be easey enough to see where the horn is under the bonnet.

Could as simple as a bad earth. The body of the car provides the earth, route back to the negative pole of the battery.

Could be just some corrosion around the mounting or else the bolt holding the horn in place is just loose.

Have a quick look. Make sure the horn is tightly held in place, and make sure there are no loose wires.
