a general question, has anyone been to this in previous years? Is it interesting or would one be just as informed on the internet/travel agent?

I have been to it a couple of times. There are always speakers from various aspects of the travel industry giving talks on various topics. I found last year there was a great talk on cruises.The best deals to be found are if you are willing to book there and then on the day. I think the holiday world show was last weekend though.

Its in Dublin this weekend. It was in Belfast last weekend.
